Home ![]() Welcome to the MAPPO Website ![]() The purpose of the Massachusetts Association of Public Purchasing Officials is to promote professionalism to the maximum extent possible in executing the public bidding process and conducting public business activity with integrity and fairness. This is accomplished through educational seminars, shared resources, monthly meetings with relevant speakers and subcommittees assigned to execute special projects. Additionally, the Inspector General’s purchasing certification program has become a driving force in the arena of public purchasing and contract administration, focusing efforts to assist MAPPO members in obtaining needed certification credits to meet and maintain certification requirements of this program and earn the prestigious designation as a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official. Membership is extended solely to those individuals engaged in the field of public purchasing. The MAPPO website is divided into the five different areas:
